Small Leafed Lime.
This tree has a compact form, with beautiful, fragrant flowers. The leaves are about 6cm long and dark green with a silvery underneath. The flowers are yellow, fragrant and grow in clusters in late spring and early summer. The fruit that follow are small and flimsy bracts rather like the maple. They will grow well in deep, rich soil, with an abundance of water. They can be used in lawns or as a street or shade tree.
