Crataegus laevigata 'Paul's Scarlet'

Two-styled hawthorn.
These are deciduous, or more rarely semi-evergreen spiny often spreading trees and shrubs. The leaves are toothed and lobed. The flowers are produced in cluster of red rounded umbels in summer they are followed by small apple-like fruit. They are fully hardy and will prefer partial sun, they are suitable for almost all situations and may be grown in any but very wet soil.
