Rhus typhina - Potgrown, 40-60 cm

Stags horn sumach, Velvet sumach, Virginian sumach, Sumach.
This is a deciduous shrub or small tree. It produces a brilliant autumn display, which will grow a slender erect trunk or thicket of stems 4.5m high with a spread of 3.5m. It produces pinnate leaves with toothed, 15cm leaflets. The flowers are yellowish green and bloom in clusters, with velvety red fruits. Full sun with some shade. They will prefer a sunny position with moderately fertile, moist but well-drained soil.
