Mahonia aquifolium - Potgrown, 30-50 cm

Description Holly-leaved barberry, Mountain grape, Oregon grape.
This is a dense, bushy species it grows to about 1.8m high and wide. The leaves are about 20cm long with deep green pinnate leaves. The flowers have clustered heads of small, bright yellow flowers which bloom in the spring before the fruit. They will require a sunny aspect and well-drained, fertile soil with adequate water. In a warmer climate they do better in shade or partial-shade.
