Virginia creeper, Five-leafed ivy, Woodbine, American ivy.
This creeper is grown for its clinging habit and colourful foliage. In early spring the leaves will emerge as a soft purple-bronze, then change to medium green as they age. In the autumn they will turn shades of red, bronze, orange and yellow. Their ornamental blue-black berries are produced on red stems. This vine will tolerates a wide range of growing conditions including various soil types. This is also known as Vitis quinquefolia.
