Deutzia.
These are summer-flowering, deciduous shrubs that have ornamental bark. The flowers will bloom in late spring producing pink or white sprays. They have long straight cane-like stems, and the leaves are produced in opposite pairs and are finely toothed. They are fully to frost hardy and will need full sun with fertile, well drained soil. The plants will benefit from a regular thinning out of old shoots after flowering.
